I've been here for one year now. Before that I lived in Big Mango for 13 years. Live with my common law Thai wife and two daughters. Yes, I have a bar, but for me it's mainly a hobby as my main job is in tourism. :lol:

By March the tourist season is usually over. The most popular months are December-February. I think the biggest difference will be the weather, which is usually warmer in March than in November.

A Thai Silk Village has just opened on 18/1 Naebkhehart Road. Well worth taking your visitors there to see how silk is made. The shop is probably quite expensive but as there is no entrance fee, go and have a look.

See accommodation for my answers. Action here is not what it is in Big Mango, Pattaya or Phuket, but there still is some. The main area is on the sois in front of Hilton hotel. Anyway most people here are friendly and rip offs are not common so I'm sure you'll enjoy your vacation here.

P.P. Villa, Sailom (their prices go down off season), Thanawit Condotel (last off season their price was 1,000 baht/d, but high season as much as 2,000. I remember staying there for 700 baht/d about 4 years ago.

BobSJ, what price range are you thinking of? What kind of facilities would you like to have in the room?

I suppose it depends what you want to eat. So far the best Muu Yaang I've found has been almost opposite to the Night Market, next to the railway tracks. Where do you reckon is the best place in Hua Hin for 1. Nam Tok 2. Southern Thai food 3. Khanom Jeen 4. Nam Phrik Ong ????? Would be happy to know...

Couple of my friends went to check the place just a few hours ago. They described it horrifying. I know one or two bar owners in the area. I wonder what kind of contracts they've had. Is there any place where you can "buy" a Thai license? I've heard of people doing these kind of things. I need to use my bike every day, would be really awful if I'd have to go to pay the fine all the time.

Thanks for the correction about the homepage address, shaneofski. If you are looking for darts or pool action we'll be playing darts on Friday (17.1) and Monday (20.1) and pool on Sunday (19.1). I'll be in Bangkok on Saturday and then again from Tuesday to Sunday.

Is it a hotel or a guesthouse. There's a guesthouse first, entrance through the shop and then comes Sirin or Sailom hotel.
