Re: Renewing a UK passport in Thailand
As of January this year, they hadn't. I had an appointment at Trendy about the 17th to renew mine but was called back to the UK urgently and did the renewal there. And very surprised but very pleased to hear that they turned it around so quickly - it wasn’t long ago that people were waiting 4 month...

Re: Thai passport renewal ... 10 years?
Can you imagine trying to replicate a service like this in the UK?

Re: Thai passport renewal ... 10 years?
All I can say is that I wish all Thai Government offices ran as smoothly as the Passport office in Petchaburi - we were there for opening time of 10.00am, as we walked in a woman gave my wife the application form to complete - hand in at the desk and after a couple of minor adjustments it was “follo...

Re: Campers, Camping and/or a Van?
30+ years ago Camper Vans were dirt cheap in the UK - I had two VW versions and didn’t pay a fortune for either, whereas nowadays you almost need a king’s ransom!!

Re: Mustard
I’ve bought that here before - not certain but I think from Makro. Didn’t do a side by side test with Coleman’s but from memory it was fairly strong!!

Re: Thai passport renewal ... 10 years?
I did read about traveling on an expired passport but what I didn’t want to risk is turning up at BKK to fly out and someone saying your wife’s passport won’t have 6 months validity when you return and therefore we’re denying you to fly!!

Thai passport renewal ... 10 years?
Later this year my wife and I will be visiting the UK so in preparation I started to check everything. Tickets already booked, she has a UK visit visa valid until April next year, although her passport runs out 31/1/25. Checking online about passports, it was easy to find that your passport needs to...

Re: A bit of nostalgia (Motor Show 1968)
Just taken from the commentary. "3 litres and a near £2,000 price tag". Pointing out just how expensive the motor was implying that it's out of the range for most people. Just contrasting how values in the day seem so cheap today. Ok that was the Reliant Scimitar which used a Ford 3 litre...

Re: Premier League 2023-24
The Liverpool-Man City game didn’t quite have the scoreline I had been hoping for, but still a cracking game with both teams having chances to win it - Liverpool probably just had the edge but neither team really deserved to lose. As has been mentioned, it leaves the run-in to decide who lifts the t...

Re: A bit of nostalgia (Motor Show 1968)
In my late single years and early teens, I was really into cars and could roll off loads of statistics about them, but was never fortunate enough to get to a motor show. My dad was always changing his cars every few years - first was a 1937 Morris 10, followed by a 1948 Sunbeam Talbot, then a 1959 F...

Re: Mustard
One thing I've noticed with British mustard is that it has a taste (and heat) of horseradish. They must put it in so the heat you are getting is not just from mustard seed.....IMO. Everything (well almost) you need to know about mustard. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mustard_(condiment) Sent from...

Re: Premier League 2023-24
Yes, which tends to highlight the difference between the Premier League and Championship - it’s quite often that 2 of the 3 promoted teams go back down the following season / this year it could be all three, although Luton have a fighting chance of escaping-Sheffield Utd and Burnley look doomed!! Se...

A bit of nostalgia (Motor Show 1968)
Saw this and thought I’d share it - some great cars from the era that I grew up in as a young car enthusiast!!
