Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread
And just to amplify a bit more about the background to it, when Tata bought Jaguar (and separately Land Rover) it was in 2008 - Ford was on the verge of bankruptcy and the Government was our trusted Labour Party, headed by none other than the financially astute Gordon Brown!! Hopefully Jaguar will b...

Re: Flights to/from Thailand status, news, and updates
The flight to Bkk from Gatwick seems a downgrade from previous daily flights from LHR to Bkk. Instead, daily flights to KL will fly from LHR. Thats quite a change from before. I wonder what's behind that decision? This article suggests it’s due to profitability and that the LHR-BKK route wasn’t mak...

Re: Flights to/from Thailand status, news, and updates
Pity it will only be 3 times a week but it might help in keeping airfares in check - traditionally BA were always the cheapest of the three direct route operators between LHR and BKK (plus Thai and EVA), although I’m not a great fan of their service and many of their planes are very old. Re: Selfie obsession in Thailand a cause for concern
This is a big problem in many countries. Particularly with the use of filters to achieve a 'better looking version' of you. Causing many young adults and children to dislike their natural appearance and undergo cosmetic surgeries to try and achieve that Instagram look. Desperate for 'likes'. I was ...

Re: Canned rabbit, once a dinnertime delicacy
It was certainly a regular item on our dinner table - most often rabbit stew!! The man next door used to keep rabbits so my mum didn’t have far to go to get one - I can remember on many an occasion the man opening up the rabbit almost literally from head to toe and pulling the innards out. Similarly...

Re: Car auctions
Calm down Nereus, people are just saying what they’ve experienced elsewhere - it might not be directly in relation to the Ops opening question but it’s related information that some people might find interesting. If every question was moderated so that it was only 100% linked to a question, the foru...

Re: Premier League 2023-24
If either City or Liverpool win, it might not decide the season, but it would be a big help - does that mean a draw is the most likely outcome?

You can show him a photo and he'll give you an estimate Ok thanks, we have to go to HH on Saturday so will probably give them a try :che...

Re: Thailand News Summary
The anti-farang sentiment is mounting, they're all at it now ... A Thai woman said she suffered a cut on her arm after a Westerner, presumably English, who sat behind her at a cafe on Jomtien Beach on Friday smashed a glass next to her because a dog next to her was barking. Amavalee, 37, told Khaos...

Rug Cleaning
Does anyone know where we can get a largish rug (3m x 2m) cleaned, preferably in Cha Am rather than Hua Hin, but of course we’ll be happy to go to HH if there isn’t such a facility closer. TIA
