Re: British home comfort food?

If you are a mustard lover try mixing powdered mustard with milk. Doubles the hot value only lasts for a day or so.
Works with Colemans not sure about other brands.

Re: Dry Cleaner for curtains and table refinishing

Hi catenurse53 I have had curtains dry cleaned using shop 5 or 6 units up soi 94 from Phetkasem. They advertise dry cleaning but sent my curtains away, takes about a week, payment in advance. Concerning the table, the guy that built my fitted wardrobes and bookcase/ office units runs a firm dealing ...

Re: Requirements for retirement visa HuaHin

Not a visa but a permission to stay stamp. Thought I had it all together today, passport copy, landing card, last permission to stay stamp and Apostille on my marriage certificate (new requirement last year, long story). The last permission to stay copy has been sufficient for many years, this year...

Re: Treatment For Farangs At Hua Hin Hospital

Slightly off topic but relevant to OP problem, please move if more relevant somewhere else. There is a specialist skin doctor situated about 10 Km outside HH. Very popular with Expats and Thais alike, no double pricing and excellent English. Clinic is first come first served, consultation wait time ...

Re: Bomb disposal squad finds device near soi 6 Hua Hin

Reminds me of the comic actions and thoughts when faced with what could be a disastrous situation. Many years ago on a certain RAF base I was called by the Orderly Officer to assist in a suspect IED. A brief case found in the flying clothing section. The officer decided to remove it to the firing ra...

Just opened email invoice from Mucho telling me they have taken payment for next quarter. I can then clear my credit card.

Re: What are the TV service options in Hua Hin.

I use Mucho TV via internet and android box. can also run via computer. All UK channels and more, 7 day recorded playback. Google it, you get one hour free per day to trial. Subscriptions get cheaper per month if you opt for longer periods, monthly on demand, monthly .quarterly, or annually re-occur...

Re: Best "free" film/TV streaming sites?

Now using mucho tv, 7 day backup, search, you can do monthly, quarterly (I do this at about 19 euros) or if you are bold enough to sign for a year it drops to 4 euros/month. Pay by credit card or paypal and they tell you when another payment has been taken automatically. PC, android and I think ios....

Re: Tropical fish store?

Lola Canal road runs basically N - S and at S end junctions with 3218. (Soi 70 to elephant village road). Going S shortly before this junction. It took me two tries to find it. Open air market has green barriers when vacant. Shop is single frontage next to a small store and has cages outside. Doubt ...

Re: Best "free" film/TV streaming sites?

Not completely free but this is my solution, runs well with occasional nudge needed from mouse click, does not detract from viewing. I use Android TV box, from expat TV, you may be able to cast from android phone to smart TV or put play store direct on smart TV. All programs from Play store Filmon.T...

Re: Tropical fish store?

Business mentioned in my post Apr 2013 has now moved further south on canal road. Going south it is 2 stores past a open air market, about 150/200 m before T junction with 3218.

Re: Desford Colliery Band World Tour.....and Hua Hin!

You could call me a "Brass Band Fanatic" and will definitely be there. I have copied OP text for my wife to inform her circle of ladies -- with OP permission. "Fanatic" started learning trumpet age 11 years at school, 25 years as RAF Voluntary Bandsman, 13 years with the Riyadh C...

Re: Immigration letter for buying a car or motorbike

Point is that if we own the house the lease giver will have to buy our house at market rate before the land can be sold on. Not many people buying "off plan" do not realise that the assets i.e the money spent building the property is registered in the builders name. If not registered as ow...

Re: Immigration letter for buying a car or motorbike

Not strictly true VincentD, We own our house but not the land it stands on, this is leased.
Took a good solicitor to ensure we had value for the money we paid to build the house.

Just spent an hour and lost text I have 2 STAC units for sale that may solve your problems not the whole house, but sensitive electronic equipment.
