unfortunately, to own a chainsaw you need a licence here, otherwise I would have chopped my hand off, strapped a Stihl 25"er to the stub and gone on a zombie kill spree years ago.

^ 2k a linear meter is pretty much in the ball park, without painting.
you could do it cheaper by sourcing the materials and just getting the labour, but is it worth the hassle?

Goto boonthavon and ask the tile guys there. They have a contractor. He is a bit expensive but he is very good. And speaks english

No problem at all, I have many appliances from the UK and Aus.
Never, have I had any issues, just either changed the plug or used an adaptor brought from any of the many 'crap shops' dotted around town.
