Re: Book Hotels how far ahead?
I usually book on Agoda, I have found that sorting hotels by their cancellation policy is best. I book hotels in Bangkok, Pattaya and Hua Hin for every trip to Thailand. There are some hotels that let you cancel last minute which I prefer. The price might be a few dollars more each night but having ...

Yes som tam is definitely more available and popular than mango salad. I order mine with no sugar or those horrible little dried shrimp that get stuck between the teeth!

Re: Grab Coming to Hua Hin
Uber no longer in Thailand. If Grab rates in HH, will be like Krung Thep, then you won't notice much difference. May even start to appreciate what you have already. From elsewhere: https://s14.postimg.cc/usj2agwpd/Capture.jpg Where did you hear Uber is no longer in Thailand ? I just used them a few...

FYI, when anyone uses the phrase "guest friendly" they are talking about taking a bar girl back to the room.

Re: Hilton hotel
Is the hilton guest friendly I don't believe it is no. I often played squash there years ago and the guy that works there told me a few times that unless you are super sneaky, they are going to know about you bringing a girl back and charge you a fee unless you book the room for 2 and give her pass...

Re: Time of day for easiest journey BKK/HH (also back)?
I should have perhaps also mentioned that I live in soi 6 HH and therefore do not need to face any traffic in HH either. As for rush hour in Cha Am, as hhinner says "what rush hour?" What I mean't was just depending on what time of day you are going through Cha Am there can be a bottlenec...

He could be rude to customersand very hard on staff. . Not rude to me, but made me cringe Funny you say that, I liked eating there, not really because of the food, nothing special, but such a great place to sit on the balcony and watch the world go by. Also watch people coming around the corner in ...

I am not surprised to read that a lonely lady wanted to go to the beach to see the sunrise at 05.00 am. But why with 7,000.00 Baht cash ???????????? Unless she made this money last night and she was going back home. What on earth does it have to do with anyone why she had 7k on her, that is $199 do...

Re: Vicious Thai gangs at Songkran
This is such a horrible story, I would expect to see this in Pattaya, but Hua Hin is far from Pattaya in my eyes. I would never expect to hear a story like this and its really quite sad. I consider Hua Hin my second home and love it but can't believe teenagers would be doing this, so pathetic...

Educational video. These critters are in Thai waters as well. Perhaps not as big, but big enough to be lethal or at least make you very, very ill. IMO. Pete  " I just watched that video. I had no idea these were in Thai waters. Its the deadliest animal on the planet, hands down. If you...

Yes the one and only big shopping mall In Hua Hin. Market Village, just head to the lowest level where the food court is. The lady has her own stall at one end of the food court that's closest to where the motorcycles all park.
