Caller, I go to Nong Ki which is about 90km South-East of Korat and I’ve been doing it in about six hours of actual driving. That’s steady driving as well; I don’t like to drive like a lunatic. Obviously you can add on whatever breaks you want, I normally stop twice on the way down as I’m no...

As you're heading South look for the signs for the Eastern ring road, Pattaya and the airport, then follow that around the city and over the new bridge until you hit ...

When I'm up in Mrs S's village in Issan I hear about how great he was from the locals....but ask them what exactly he did for them and they start scratching their heads...the village still doesn't have a...

Don’t forget that a large number of Thais, particularly from rural areas are still great believers in the Buddhist faith. My partner has often explained to me the fate of people whose lifestyle inflicts harm on others, such as ripping off your farang husband. Basically this means that depending on...

I’ve just had a look around the net during an idle moment and I can now tell you that there are over 500 women registered as players in Afghanistan with 23 female clubs in Kabul. Last year the women’s national team lost 1-0 in the final at a competition in Pakistan where they were playing as gue...

Personally I think it will be better having Samak Sundaravej as PM instead of the junta as long as he doesn’t do too much. Any form of Democracy will bring some stability to the country and Samaks only job is to face off the powers behind the coup. The problems will begin if he decides that he rea...
