The last, and really only time, I remember weather like this in HH during March was 10 years ago when my parents came across.
7 of the 10 days spent in HH were total wash outs, so much so that the night market was closed every day. Even that was flooded so it gives an indication of how the town was further towards the sea - wading time.
That's a sort of precedent, weather-wise, for me at this time of year but I certainly don't remember it being so cold.

Yeh, this weather is so unreal, it's nearly the same as in Holland.
I love to sit in the balcony in the evening, but it's much to cold now :cuss:

I'm quite enjoying it (like HHF), but feel sorry for tourists who have come here for endless sunshine and temperatures 30 degrees plus (which is normal for this time of year).

The digital thermometer in our kitchen is currently showing 18.7! Think an extra duvet on the bed will be needed tonight...

Never known it this cold this time of year in 13 years living here.

The Good Morning Hua Hin show is on the air. :D 0345 and 19.3 in Hua Hin and 19.5 in Rayong, Feels much colder as an 8mph wind from the north blowing in both places, but TMD doesn't list wind chill. Said to be heading to 30-31 today but I'll believe it when I see it. Pete

See, I was right!
Colder weather in Thailand is caused by global warming

Weather Department on Thursday said that the global warming is the major cause of dropping of temperature in Thailand.

Department's Deputy Director General Somchai Baimuang said that the cold weather is likely to continue until tomorrow.

Temperature on Thursday has dropped across the country, with that in Bangkok dropped to 19 Celcius and that in northern province of Loei went down to 6.12 Celcius.

The radar is off the chart at the moment with what's coming across the gulf at you in HH. It should be raining there already? We just got power back here in Rayong at 0900 after going out at 0530 during a howling wind and rain storm, strong enough to blow bicycles down the driveway, overflow my pool, and once again, uproot one of my big trees. :( :( I think we're in for a few days of this. Yes, somebody has peeded off the weather gods big time. Huge thunder storm and rain in Bangkok this morning. An intense low pressure sitting right over Bangkok at the moment, and being fed by a huge high over China.

I don't think so, the action seems to be further south from Chumphon down. Bookmark this link PB and you'll have the same reference many of us use here. The radar tab on the right is interesting to access from time to time. Pete

EDIT: FYI, What's happening/headed for Hua Hin shows up best on the Rayong radar sub tab under TMD Radar Loop.
