Very quiet with frequent rain showers...
Thanks for the info and that changes my plans a bit and I presume Apr-June is too hot?
I beg the differ, i went that period last year and thought it was great, but not if you love crowded beaches of course. Weather was great too, not too much rain imo.

Cant complain about the nightlife either

May of 2004. Fell in love the laid back beauty of Hua Hin, especially with the Hua Hin beach right there and then!

April 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and soon 2015. Hua Hin has changed a lot in this time but still look forward to coming back every year. Beats the tourist places in Thailand by a mile.

Yes, every visit something "first" always happens - that's the beauty of Hua Hin. I know it's touristy, but like Koh Chang and even Chang Mai, thankfully it isn't in the same league as Pattaya, Phuket and Koh Samui.

One restaurant that I eat at I can still remember (only just) the owner having a baby bump now she and her husband have a lovely twelve year old daughter. Looking forward to seeing them again in August

:D Spent six weeks in Hua Hin in June 2014. Travelled a lot in Thailand but liked the feel of the place. Have Thai partner and we're moving to Hau Hin Sept/Oct this year.

2009 - But went to many places before and finally found Hua Hin. Not the greatest beaches but truly love the place. Always back and grows on me more and more

Nice but the mosquitoes are a bitch - can’t stay in one spot too long or they zero in on you.

I have been coming to LOS since 2009, but this was my first experience in Hua Hin. I was told that it can be a lonely place and so far that is spot on.

^ anywhere can be a lonely place if you are unfamiliar and do not put yourself out to find interests or interesting people.

What you have got going for you is that HH is generally a friendly and safe place, if you take normal precautions.

Having travelled extensively and still doing the same there are far, far worse places. In my whole life I was never so lonely as the 12 month sentence that I served in NY. My first visit to NY was a nightmare and the feeling still lives on after more than 25 years.

Sorry to anyone from NY-NY I do not want to offend or single NY out as I could have chosen a number of other lonely places.

Go out, visit busy places, make friends...HH & Cha Am are not so bad when and if you make the effort.... Nothing and no one will rush to you.

The first time was in march 2014. I had never been to Thailand, only Japan and China and had somekind of prejudices of the whole Thailand being just full of drunken tourists. I must say I fell in love to the country instantly and Hua Hin was suprisingly laid back place. Just what I needed then and need in the future to have a relaxing holiday. My wife's auntie and her husband have a condo in Khao Takiab and they are so nice that they let us stay there occassionally, so it's like a dream come true.

2003 I went there with my Thai girlfriend. We have been married since many years and live in Bangok. We visit Hua Hin and surroundings every year. Sometimes I come here alone just to have some fun.
