Andrew Drummond in Bangkok is researching this murder and in particular the treatment of Ray Hyde over the last few years by his wife.
If anybody believes they can help, would they get in touch with him via his website. Thanks.

A tragic incident indeed, not sure what this reporter can achieve- the poor guy is dead and the police seem to have done their job - for now.

A stern warning to others about potential dangers here would be more productive.

I am the daughter of Raymond John Hind and I live in the uk and I am his only family. Until his horrible wife is convicted she is still legally his next of kin so I can not bring my father home and arrange a funeral for him which is very frustrating. As soon as justice is done my father can finally rest in peace. I love you dad X

Best of luck to get your Father home, and my sincere condolences.

Very sorry to hear about your loss "Daughter"

Unfortunately I predicted the outcome within seconds of reading Chopsticks post.

I hope nobody gives Drummond any info as the man has repeatedly slated this forum in past "reports"

Again, sincere condolences.

The post on here from Ray's poor daughter brought a lump to my throat.
I think I can say to her every member of this forum, living in Hua Hin as ex-pats, or away working around the world, English or otherwise, feels for her right now.
Yes my dear, we also hope justice is done, and soon.
Again my sincere condolences to Ray's family

Mine too! "Daughter", please accept my sincere condolences and sincere hope that justice is done in this crime!

Thank you to all for your kind words. I was wrong when I said I was his only family, I have a 7 year old daughter who will miss her granddad dearly. I have had so many of his friends contact me to tell me how much they will miss him and what a kind and lovely man he was so he will always live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. X

Daughter, I can only advise that you give the British Embassy in Bangkok as much grief as you can - Ray was and still is a British citizen, what has happened here is deplorable - people should know about it.

Having known and had the banter with Ray on rugby days, words cannot express the shock i received on hearing of his death.
He was a pure gent.
Rest in Peace Ray.

My condolences and best wishes angel. I hope that the mandarins of the FCO in Bangkok get this stupid situation sorted out for you soon and you can take your dad home.

I never met your dad but from the sound of the posts here he was well loved and respected - the sort of bloke we all love to share a beer, a chat and a place to live with - and thats the best eulogy a man can have.
