The hall where the services are held is all the way at the back of the temple complex.

Final services and cremation will be held tomorrow, 16 November.
Sorry, I didn't put the time! Final services and cremation will held tomorrow at 14:30.

I am so sorry to hear such sad news.
My thoughts are with his family & close friends.
Sarge will no doubt, be posting on the big forum above, where his views will be appreciated as always.

I will be going to tomorrow's service, leaving Hua Hin at about 13:30. I will have 3 spare seats in the car. If anybody would like a lift to the service, please PM me - I will do it on a first come basis.

NB: The temple is in the middle of nowhere. Even with the map, if you're making your own way there, please leave plenty of time, you'll probably get lost en-route.

Was very shocked and sad to hear this news.
One of the most colourful characters on the forum, Sarge will be sorely missed.

One of my earliest meetups with the HHAD resident crowd was a most convivial "grumpy old mens" beer n blather afternoon where Sarge was the life and soul of the party.

A sad loss to the community.

Please pass my condolences on to Mrs Sarge, and light some incense for me at the temple.

Happy travels mate

Yes, well done to those for organising that, it's good to see that an expat isn't passing away forgotten in a foreign land. I was quite moved to see that picture on the facebook page linked above.

:agree: HHADFan and sand_dancer should take most of the credit - they have been a fantastic support to Sarge's wife.

Well, wherever credit is due, fair play to you all. And as Steve says, it's good to know as an expat you are not always alone.

I am nursing a bit of a hangover this morning.....

I would like to thank everyone who left a message of condolence...... Once HHADFan has done his bit and printed the thread off...... I am sure it will be a great source of comfort for Mrs Sarge in the weeks and months ahead.......

A heartfelt thank you to BB and HHADFan....... Collectively...... We probably have done very little..... I would like to think that just being available to Mrs Sarge was enough for her to know..... That she wasn't alone in her time of need.....

A special Thank You..... To BB & JD for the wreaths....... They were very much appreciated....... And as someone who is a bit of a virgin regarding Thai ceremonies...... was something that had escaped me completely.......

Sarge

Sliante

So glad to see the lovely flowers for Sarge, really so thoughtful of everyone. It has had a huge response from everyone on the forum. The print off is a very good idea and will no doubt show his dear wife whom he treasured, what a popular man he was. Glad to hear that Sarge's wife is getting help from his friends. She will need that, also advice on her pension etc. when the time comes. She will no doubt miss him very much.
Sarge RIP.
