Not really news whilst it's still trading, only news if it's closed or got a new owner IMO. It's been for sale on internet for a while although not as long as Luciano's Pizza Garden.

Coopers Beer Garden on Soi 88 has closed and is being re built on the car park of the spa next to the Chinese restaurant on Soi 94.

Two new places just opened at the bend where Soi 94 turns into Soi 88 near the pharmacy. If heading up Soi 88 instead of turning into Soi 94 go straight on and there are some new shophouses on your right. The first one hasn't got a sign up yet but is a bar run by Lek who owned Lanla Bar until recently. Next door to it is May's which appears to be more of a bistro as they sell food and close early at 10 pm. I had a look at the menu and they do a roast dinner available every day and have chilli con carne, chicken kiev and do breakfasts amongst other meals.

The bar mentioned above without a sign outside has a banner inside with the name Tore's. Lek's Swedish hubby I believe.

OK guys it's November, and high season is approaching. Time for the team to earn their shoe leather allowance by pacing the streets to update our bar area maps. We've been out on Soi 94 this morning, and as usual there are quite a few changes to report. Also, as it is on our map, the Permsup area has been included properly for the first time.

We've probably made a few mistakes, so you have until midday Friday to correct us, before the detail is forwarded to our cartographer for update.

Many bars and restaurants in this area only display their name in Thai. Unfortunately, nobody walking the ground this morning reads Thai, so those places have not been included. If anybody can provide us with a sensible name (yes we know there's a place called Chef Bum :D ) it can be included.

Very sorry to see the Saxophone Lounge closed. Does anyone have any idea where the excellent musicians are playing now. Rumour has it that Ryan has relocated to Phuket.

Lovely Bar which has undergone a refurb is still the same owners so I presume they will keep the name. It's an amazing transformation when you go inside, like walking into a Tardis, it looks 3 times the size it was before!

I've not been inside, but I've watched the transformation daily as I drive past. Seems to be doing a really good job.

Hello,

last night we were incredulous to hear a big party going on somewhere on Soi 94, even some loud music.
These people must have been unaware of the ban or they decided to have this loud party anyway.
I remarked to my wife that either the police or other Thais were bound to intervene.
After 5 minutes the blaring music suddenly stopped. LOL Inconsiderate fools!

Adjacent to Lotus Suites is The Rise, adjacent to that is Baan Padyen. Agoda lists The Rise as a hotel, the sign at Baan Padyen says 'rooms to rent'. Oops.

So many properties in Hua Hin have rooms to rent outside, we tend to ignore just that as an indication of Hotel.

Also, there are so many condos with names outside, unless we see an indication of hotel or guest house, we tend to ignore it.

We will look harder at those properties next time - thank you for bringing them to our notice.

Great to see the pictures of all the bars. I am glad to see there is still lots
of watering hole in the city. Just wondering which watering holes some
locals members of this forum frequent. I will be in Hua Hin about Jan
15 to 30th. I would like to meet some of the guys and ladies who I
see their aliases all the time
