And you're point is?
Not quite sure whether your post is relevant to what I posted above. Can you enlighten me?

Anyway, if you are so perturbed ~ I'm not ~ regarding Bintabat bar owners not benefiting from experimention why don't you do a survey? I'm sure they will just salivate over you and your pen and little notebook prancing down Bintabat taking a poll.
I can see it now.
Just one more reason why I love living in Thailand ...

A reply to your pretended Brit humor, yes I talked to some bar owners at Binta and they told that the walking street experiment didn't increase the number of their customers nor the turnover even during the high season.
About Soi 80 some bars did well, because they had a buffet and tables on the street.
I hope you are a little more enlighted thanks my lighting.

Canadian thanks very much.
And I very much appreciate that you have "enlighted my lighting". A whole new world has opened up to me.

Yes Binta is now a 'Walking St'..but (at the temple end) you've got street-traders blocking 1 side of the (almost full width) no-entry barrier, & bar-girls from Tina Bar standing in 2's & 3's always blocking the other entry point.. folk on many occasions do have to push thru'.
