Well HHTel what do you wish for, law and order or anarchy
Law and Order would be nice. Any sign of that happening?

After watching recent news footage from the home of democracy, the USA and the way police treat you for a possible, simple traffic violation, I think I would rather try my luck in Thailand.

Exactly news footage ! ...I have driven extensively in US and Thailand, and have been stopped many times in both countries, and if you act respectfully and in a friendly manner there should never be a problem , only if the person stopped starts getting smart then cops can get a lot smarter , same world wide :)

I wonder what happened to Naki. He just disappeared 7 days after starting this thread. I wonder if his worst fears came to fruition.

Agree JJ :thumb: Fairly straightforward. Initial perceptions , If it looks like a duck, talks like a duck behaves like a duck,
What is it??. Got to be a duck!

Obviously, yes if you have something to hide. I've been stopped by these guys a few times - nothing to worry about.

They always make their road blocks in the same places, which are easily avoided, but I never choose an alternate route.

Actually, if you're not stopping, the by-pass is probably faster anyway.

Off topic but if you use the bypass at this time of year be a lane hog and stay in the right hand lane. The left lane is in a bad state in one or two places and the standing rain hides a few potholes that can damage your car if you don't know where they are. Otherwise take a little longer and stay on Route 4 through town. :)
