Shipping Costs from U.K.

Post by Limey711 »

I am in the process of buying a house in the Hua Hin area and I was wondering if anyone can tell me of prices of shipping costs and the time factor from leaving the U.K to arriving in Thailand.

you may find it to be much cheaper to buy new here !
certain items you bring in to Thailand will be subject to import duty (even though they are personal effects so to speak)

You Need to think about weather its worh the expence and the hassle with the Thai customs of bringing your airlooms

Excess removals of london. !/2 a container 1970 pounds sterling. Collected and packed in England cleared customs ( no duty returning Thai wife ) no backhanders!! Delivered to Hua Hin and unpacked. Took about 2 months. Not the cheapest but very little hassle.
One thing to note if using 'returning Thai wife' for customs make sure she enters on her Thai passport.
