Electrician needed!

Post by huahin4ever »

Hi,

Anyone here which can recommend an decent electric contractor or an electrician? Some help would be much appreciated. I have a fairly small job to be done putting up a new circuit outside my house. For a professional it shouldn't be more than 1-2 days work I hope. PM me or post phone number/email address here if possible.

Thanks

I know a very good guy but he only speaks Thai.....do you have someone who can speak with him for you (unless you speak Thai yourself)

Good luck! I had many electrical problems (due to the initial contractor) with the home I built and recently sold and I never found anyone who could really fix them. I found a lot of Thai electricians that could do temporary workarounds at a high cost, but no one really qualified to fix the problems... one of the reasons I was glad to sell and become a renter.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

My wife can speak to a thai electrician. The important thing is that he does a decent job with no short cuts. It's an outdoor circuit I need for the jacuzzi I've ordered, so it has to be 35 amps or 2x20amp connection with a switch too so I can switch it on/off. Grounding must be done properly. I wouldn't like to be electrocuted while I'm having my cold beer inside my jacuzzi :thumb:

As a minimum requirement ensure that a fully waterproof outdoor switch (or IP rated switch-box casing) is used and that the outdoor circuit (or ideally the whole house) is protected by an RCD (eg. Safe-T-Cut).

I can recommend Pop, 080 0781179.

He did a house rewire for me to my specifications, and is a very competent and tidy installer.

He is well aware of grounding requirements, and has done work for other farang before and understands our requirements for a safe installation.

He does not speak English though, so you will need a Thai speaker.
