We've used the place next to the Soi 88 Railway crossing and have found them to be good for both workmanship and price.

Some of the smaller places are difficult to find but in my experience if Big Boy recommends it, it's worth looking for. Saved me a bundle on a high quality broken fan at a fan repair shop he recommended. It took me a while to find it even though he said exactly where it was but worth the effort. It was just very small and very hidden with no signs.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
Re: Picture Framing
A couple of months ago I used the one in Dechanuchit road, on the left just before you get to Petchakasem and they did a good job, I think it was two thousand odd baht for a reasonable quality wooden frame on a large oil painting. Obviously the price goes on size and framing material so the price range is almost infinite.

Big Boy, thanks for the advice on the picture framer. The guy was brilliant.Big Boy wrote:We've used the place next to the Soi 88 Railway crossing and have found them to be good for both workmanship and price.
I wanted my military medals mounted in a display type affair. I showed him exactly how I wanted them and then he asked me to choose a frame and backing felt. He didn't have the colour of felt I wanted and actually went to Bangkok for it. He charged me a grand total of 1000 baht. You couldn't get that done in the UK for any less than around £80.
