I've searched the forum and asked questions around Hua Hin before asking here.
Does anyone know if there is an Electrolux agent in Hua Hin. A power surge caused my oven to stop working. The oven cost around 65,000 so worth fixing if possible.
Help appreciated.
Electrolux agent
Re: Electrolux agent
Related HHTel.....same problem, model EKM 90410x. They've stopped making the needed new electronic boards for that model. My cost was around 80K I think 8 years ago. Never again with Electrolux.
We're in the process of looking for a replacement and when that happens, the local Electrolux shop (Rayong) said they would be happy to try to fix the existing board by soldering, replacing board parts or whatever. I have no real hope they'll fix it, but worth a try, then we'll give to a family member or sell it. If they can't fix it it still goes to a Thai family member as they seldom if ever use an oven. The top burners work fine. I've lost faith in EL as we've had two vacuums go bad as well that weren't that old which had nothing to do with power surges, just went bad from poor QC IMO. Pete
Edit: Electronic board search went all the way to Bangkok, Australia and Stockholm with no luck. Good luck in your search. I hope you find the part(s) needed.

Re: Electrolux agent
I had the same problem about 12 months ago. A Thai friend took it to a local shop and they repaired it. The repair took a couple of weeks as I guess they were waiting for parts. I am not in HH until the weekend but can then check the receipt for the name of the repair shop.HHTel wrote:I've searched the forum and asked questions around Hua Hin before asking here.

I hope that you can find someone sooner.

If you have no luck finding spare parts, or a good local repair shop, you could always try Amorn, there are quite a few located in different areas of Bangkok, but the biggest and original shop is in The Old Siam in Banmo in Bangkok.
I'm always amazed at what they can repair, and at such a good price too. If I recall, they give a 3 month warranty on the work they do.

Would be better to deal with Bangkok. Pattaya is unresponsive and unskilled per our experience. PeteWinkie wrote:Here is their website
