They all come up on google albeit mostly forums for directions. Big Kiang behind the power buy 88 will beat the prices if you smile and play the game. Maybe only by a couple of hundred Baht but they are bang on with delivery time in my experience. Makro by soi 6 is way cheaper and better than Tesco for fresh produce. Pork looking a bit on the turn Tesco 225 Bt per Kg. Makro superb meat and fresh as. 120-140 Bt. Other products the same kind of margin. You can do better on fresh produce in some markets if you know where they are and when. I tend to use the ones local to me but drive past many on a daily basis. The early bird catches the worm on local markets for freshness and quality.

How can you compare a family business specialising in quality farang food and drink with an international chain catering largely for Thai wholesale customers?

The only way to find out if they have what you need at a price you are prepared to pay is to go and have a look.
This is the way

Obviously everybody's taste is different - I personally like the Hua Hin Ham & Bacon products a lot.

Quality, IMHO is excellent, and I don't believe you'll find a cleaner shop anywhere in Thailand.

Grocery/household shopping in Hua Hin is still a challenge even though there are many outlets now. Either one shop does not stock all of the items I regularly buy or if they usually do, they are temporarily out of several items at the time I go, so we have to go monthly to Tesco, Villa Market, and Old Hua Hin Shopping Mall as each one has something I must have but no single one has them all. Hua Hin Ham and Bacon is great for British expats as they carry many of your comfort foods and drinks that cannot be found elswhere, but only a couple of things that I am regularly interested in. This is not a bad endorsement at all for HHH&B; the place is clean and the owner couldn't be nicer, just not much regularly there for Americans other than the meat. However, he did make me a special order fully cooked Thanksgiving dinner to go (even on real plates ready to put on the table when I picked them up) once that was not only a great meal but at a great price. :thumb:
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
