Removal of palm trees.

Post by Pagey »

I have 4 or 5 well established palm trees which were planted when the house was built about 6 years ago. The trunks are about 12 feet tall and the leaves/fronds/branches about another 6 feet.
I'm thinking of building a car port and verandah so these unfortunately need to be removed.

Does anybody have a contact number of someone who can do this ?

I've been told that you can sell mature trees back to those garden centre places where you get them from in the first place, apparently they'll come around and dig them out. I've not tried it but it's got to be worth a try.

Please let us know what you find. I have 8 very tall palms that are beautiful, but in the way of the future house build. Would love to move them out of the way to the beach. In California I have seen such large trees moved (and sold) but not sure here.

The garden outlets are a good idea, I will have to ask.

Thanks for the replies. I was told also that they can be removed for free and bought off you.
The guy I am buying the car from is away until next week so I am not going to take any action on the trees until the deal is done but I will report back with details if I have to have them removed.

On the way to Cha Am and opposite the VIP Condos' is a garden centre which we have used a number of times to deliver trees. They are good people and their tel number is 0894122827 wife name Meow ( Thai only so you will probably need your wife to call )

There is also a big garden center on Phetkasem Road south of Hua Hin (on the left if travelling south). I think around Soi 122 or a bit further south.

They delivered us trees for free and installed them.
