Selling scrap gold
Is there a shop in HuaHin that buys scrap gold? Also does any shop sell Scottish oatcakes?

If you can find a shop selling Scottish oatcakes, they'll be worth their weight in golddundrillin wrote:Is there a shop in HuaHin that buys scrap gold? Also does any shop sell Scottish oatcakes?
I'd have thought that most jewelry shops would buy scrap gold - you may need to try a few to see if the price varies but I'm sure they all display the price of gold for items on sale so you would expect there to be a link betweeen purchase and sale price.

Scottish oat cakes occasionally available in Villa Market, next to the walkers shortbread, and biscuits,,,,,,,,,,,,IRN BRU was on special, now back to 45bht a can,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,similar to the current gold price, fluctuates,,,,,,,,,,,,,now back to topic.
Re: Selling scrap gold
Every gold shop I've seen displays the buying and selling price of gold.
Re: Selling scrap gold
Depends if the gold is Thai style or European, and what form it's in. And then the lack of assay marking could make it problematic even if it's Thai gold.

I am not aware of any scrap buyers in Hua Hin but their are a few in Bangkok. For the scrap you have which I would imagine would be in many small pieces they would probably need to be assayed for finess individually. There are a number of scrap buyers in Bangkok and have posted a link for one of them. I know in Oz scrap buyers generally offer about 50% value of au content depending on what it is alloyed with.
