Any Shoe Makers in HH?

Post by RCer »

Looking for some leather motorcycle boots. Kawasaki and Honda only carry sport bike and motocross boots.

So I'm thinking of having a pair made, unless someone knows a store that sells slip on boots made from leather.

There used to be a guy on Poonsuk road but not sure if he's still open. Only place I can think of but he would be charging tourist prices for your boots. I'm sure there is somewhere in Hua Hin that sells the boots you need... will think more.

If that fails, PM and I'll give you directions to a place in a lane at the end of my road that advertises leather goods. A typical Thai location with no thought to passing trade - basically in the most unlikely of places. I've only seen the sign, but never wandered down the lane.

Might be worth a look.

I have heard very good reports about the place Big Boy is recommending. They are not Thai but European.

Really? They are very well hidden - I only see the place while waiting to turn on to the Soi 88 to 94 road. I think they are at the end of a bit of a dirt track. I guess they must be OK if they survive while so well hidden.

What makes you think that they are relying on the local market? If they are European owned it is more that likely they are exporting most or all of their products.

I don't really think anything. I see the sign daily, but have never ventured down there.

Do you know the London Bar, if so just walk further north and the shop is on the right. It is next to JP Tailors. if you use Google earth street view you can actually see the shop.

I avoid the bar areas and only go into Hua Hin if needed.

Actual Google maps directions would be very helpful.
