Where can I buy a sewing machine?

Post by HHTel »

My wife is after a sewing machine.

Does anyone know where I can buy one in Hua Hin?

Thanks in advance.

Try the Singer shop on Petchkasem Road.
As you go north from town, it's the second shop before Somtawin School (almost opposite soi 51) on the same side as Somtawin. There's an awning outside with the Singer logo on it. I go in there to buy machine oil occasionally and they have various machines lying about. I've never looked at them and wouldn't have any idea of what's good or bad but the shop has to be worth a try.

I think most of the Singer shop machines are 2nd hand (reconditioned) machines. When we went in there, the guy running the place was very helpful (in a useful way - not like the brain dead staff in Home Pro). Many of the machines were quite large, heavy-duty machines, and not what we were looking for

My wife knew what she wanted, and we bought from Lazada in the end.

Thanks for that, BB. I'll have a look in that shop. I've already looked on Lazada and they all seemed to be 'mini' and battery operated ones.

My wife got quite a nice machine on Lazada, but you're right, the pages are inundated with those little beasties. Try searching on a particular brand such as Singer. I think that's how I got rid of the rubbish.

How about some pics and details. My wife wants a decent machine.

Thanks for your tip BB. Putting Singer in as a search came up with just what she wants.
Thanks for your offer Jingjoe but it's sorted now.
