Rubbish disposal in Hua Hin

Post by jorj41 »

Until the NY market in Napkehat rd came and went I used to take my rubbish bags across the road to a communal collection point. It has gone.

It used to be across the road from Ban Issara and about one hundred yards further out of town.

What do i do with my garbage bags now?

Find another communal collection point. They're never very far. Usually identifiable by the big blue bins.

We pay for one of those big blue bins but a lot of other people seem to think it's communal!

Buksida, and I, are well aware of the "hide the garbage" game. No trash collection down by us other than very specific recyclables.

I like to go on weekends and leave it at the Tessabahn, figure they made me have to do it, so be it!!

Any trash bin outside a closed business is fair game

Yes, at least you guys have bins.

The locals use the beach where we live. :guns:

 Aren't they all communal?

Obviously my lack of education/believing what the Thais around me have told me. I thought the personal bins were the wheelie type.

I suspect that it is still the case: your water bill includes 20 Baht for rubbish collection!

I know the plant you're talking about. I used to live nearby. I don't think you're allowed to dump there. It's only for council bin lorries. Plus, I believe they are in the process of moving it altogether, although it seems to be taking forever.

No, where you mean is right on the corner before you veer left where the road otherwise turns to the right, before what in the map are called water works.

The one I am highlighting is further along the road and is just an open plot of land with various piles of rubble, which seem to be traded by a couple of guy's and a few dogs who seem permanent fixtures.

Sorry, Caller. You are quite right. I was talking about the one on the corner. I didn't realise there was another spot.
