Looking for the following..
Hi, i am just about to embark on a long stay in hua hin, i am looking for advice/help on the following: where to buy, cooking table and gas bottle, table and chair setting and stereo cd player for house. i am also looking for a tattoo shop that is open in hua hin all help appreciated.
Tatto shops...
Home decor your on your own, but I am sure you'll manage...
As to the tattoo, I guess I would have to say the shop on the same road as All Nations bar and guesthouse, just up the road a bit toward Petchkasem. It is run by a German dude and his wife (Thai, I believe). He's definately got the experience and he's a farang with the necessary equipment. It's a clean shop. That being said, he's a bit of pikey when it comes to assessing the price, his thinking is to try and get as much as he can for each tat, so be warned. Finally, it is also likely if you have an easy or simple tattoo that he will pass you off to his lesser experienced wife...
If you are not getting a mural from the Sisteen Chapel on your back you could also consider a Thai tattooist, they can be good as long as the work isn't to intricate. (Sometimes even if it is..). There is a Thai guy who has a little shop in the bazaar area between Bernie's Bar and Billy's. I have heard he is decent, clean and talented; just check out his work before you commit...
Best of luck, enjoy!

never get a tattoo in thailand for risk of hepititis ...unless you are absolutly sure the needles have been sterilised (and have seen that done!) every travel guide says so for one and I also know of a friend whos mother died recently ( she was healthy all her life and went to asia had one injection in a cheap clinic and that was that...... ) be safe!!

I've seen shit artists in the USA that only work off 'flash' only, then do a crap job and I've seen parlours in London that will tattoo an underage kid. I have seen 'studio's' in Southend - on - Sea that you would not use as a kennel ...If you are not getting a mural from the Sisteen Chapel on your back you could also consider a Thai tattooist, they can be good as long as the work isn't to intricate. Hi Call_meDaddy57,
Thank goodness you didn't ask a question about piercings!
There has been some advice given above regarding tattoo shops in Hua Hin and about tattooing in general. Most of it good!
Crap standards apply anywhere in the world, but it is particularly important to get a local view (or two).
I wonder if Bangkokney knows ATAdmin? It is unfortunate that he had edited one of his posts after a response was given -

Don't know Bangkokney, but he seems like a real hoot so far.
I specified Thais be cause we are in Thailand and it is applicable; specified German, because aforementioned owner is German. I fail to see how this is how this is insulting..? I also disagree that it was intended to "slag off" or insult anyone... Stop being so damned sensitive (you bloody limey!) joking, joking...
Finally, remember - I could have changed your screen name to Kockey instead of Kokney...
Cheers!

Don't act the innocent, it's obvious your whole post is made up with a derogatory slant ...
Pots and kettles spring to mind ...
Somebody on a power trip flexing his Johnny come lately virtual cyber muscles ?
Lev : looks very much like you've got somebody on board that is going to undo all your hard work ...

Not a Brit, sorry.
I am innocent actually; it was just your sensitivity that allowed you to get all namby-pamby with your knickers in a bind.
Most importantly as to your last post, how is it that my [highly informed and witty] posts are going to undue all of Lev's hard work exactly? Me thinks you need to exercise your techno-muscle a wee bit.

Closed?!? Hmmm, hadn't noticed recently. I know he remodeled the place a few months back but I thought he was open. It is entirely possible that he is closed for low-season I guess...
