For info - Hobiecat has just posted something similar to the above on the 'kitchen sink' thread.

I've seen it, but can't repeat the problem - does it work OK for you?

It's happening now with both Firefox and IE8 noticeable on the Kitchen Sink thread as a good example.
Says page 1 of 1 but only shows 5 latest replies instead of all 14.
Only way it seems to get to read the earlier missing posts is to go into the topic via board index list.
Usually crops up when a new topic has more than one page of replies.

I just made it happen BB. When you use "view new posts" at the top it works fine and all 15-16 posts show up. When I went to the "Latest Hua Hin Topics" on the right and clicked the Kitchen Sink thread, all I got was 4 or 5 of the 15. Give it a try. Pete

It just isn't happening with me. I've tried 3 different log ins, and 2 operating systems. I simply can't replicate it.

Incidentally, the Kitchen Sink thread is only one page.

What I did notice was the amount of posts present was not complete until the page had completely loaded (with my decent UK connection the problem was almost 'blink of an eye'). Are you sure that your page is fully loading? Are you suffering from the famous Hua Hin Internet Speed syndrome?

OK, I'm clutching at straws, but it just isn't happening for me :?

Sorry Pete, our posts crossed.

Yes, I've got it. So the problem is accessing the thread from the sidebar. At least I can let the 'clever guys' who sort this type of problem know where to look. I'll pass the details to them, and they will hopefully sort it within a couple of days.

Apologies again to everybody for this inconvenience. Please use the 'View new posts' facility until resolved.

Pass this along also BB. I just forced the Kitchen Sink thread to go to two pages. When you then access it from the sidebar you initially get the same abbreviated first page. You then click to go to page 2, then click back to page 1 and the entire complete thread appears. Pete

:lach: We've crossed again Pete. We were obviously trying the same thing at the same time.

Great minds and all that :D

[Edit] Not only did we do it at the same time, your post stopped mine from actually posting. I didn't see that your post had been entered, and just pressed the back key :?

Further to that, sometimes when I make a post I'll get a warning message at the top saying something like "there is a similar post to yours, do you want to proceed....." you then have to hit the 'submit' button again. If you got that because of my post and didn't see it, and just hit the back button, it probably canceled your posting? Pete

Yes, that is what happened. In the early days of the new software, I thought that my posts were disappearing into the ether. On this occassion, I think I was so excited at discovering a work around (I lead a sheltered life :D ), I just didn't notice the message

You're right though. After looking at the problem for several hours, it's spooky that 2 of us discovered the work around at exactly the same time :alien:

As we have suggested many times before please use the "View new posts" link to get the latest topics and all of their replies. The list on the right is an add-on to the forum software and still has a few glitches.

Additionally all browser issues have been resolved.
