Hua Hin Forum server outage

Post by Lev »

May we offer our sincere apologies for the server outage yesterday. We are still in the dark as to what happened as our hosting company has yet to respond. Naturally this is not the situation we want to be in so we will be making contingency plans to ensure this never happens again.

Thanks for your support.

This is a different problem however since we have still had no explanation from our web host we are seeking alternatives.

HHAD has been working at a snails pace since I got back online this evening. I originally thought it was the aftermath of a recent 30 hour internet outage, but every other website is working at normal speed.

I'd be interested if others are experiencing the same.

And I thought it was me! Exactly the same as the BB's here. I've learnt to juggle back and forth to try and speed entry into a thread! Everything else works fine and no previous outage here.

Yes, It was acting strangely for me yesterday afternoon as well. Now at 0545 on Tuesday it is extremely slow but my other links are also, but not as much. Can't determine at the moment if actually HHAD or internet here in general. Pete

Even Bangkok post is loading fast this morning, so I guess something must be wrong with the HHAD server again.
I intend to live forever - so far so good.

Have to agree NS. Four USA server tabs open and HHAD. The four are loading fast and normal. Took me 3 minutes for your message above to open, but only a few seconds for this reply window to open. Whatever the problem, it is not constant. Pete

Thanks for the notifications and your patience, the site seems to be working fine for now - we are still awaiting a response from our hosting company and still trying to find a reliable alternative.

Athough performance has been restored today, I've been getting some strange responses eg:

I've also been getting Found 1 Match, with nothing listed - seems to be adding 1 more than there actually is.

I also sometimes have to wait eons for a connection to HHAD main index page to pop-up and I'm here in LOS. I seem to get to the burgandy page and then it often sticks. However, I'm sure there is a very good reason why the server is not in LOS.

It might just be me and my computer but just relaying experiences.

The Thai sites load fast, like 'Bangkok Post' or 'The Nation' etc but can forget BBC, yawn, takes forever. HHAD is faster than BBC but slower than CNN, no idea why.

Must say that it's strange that the service provider has said zip, so to speak. Bizarre!
