We are hoping we can limp along with the current "hosting service" and stay online until our tech bods can arrange a server transfer.

Will re-enable Tapatalk in the meantime and monitor the site.

I have re-registered with my same username, following the account deletion which happened during the last server outage.Seems OK now.

All my previous postings however have disappeared.

Probably not a big loss to the Forum!

Hope your new hosting company know how to make backups!

Thanks for re-registering, we were about to announce that some users may not be able to login again, and there maybe some data loss.

We should be able to restore it from local backups but these things take time so please be patient.

Thanks again.

We will be moving the forum to a new server this week (probably Tuesday) so there will be some downtime for an hour or two while the switch-over takes place.

We offer apologies in advance for the disruption and hope this will bring an end to all of the problems we've had on the current server.

We are now running on a new server - please bear with us while our tech ninjas make some tweaks to the configuration, there maybe a few glitches.

I don't know if it's the new server or if TOT is on uppers this afternoon but the forum is loading pages faster now than it has in a long time. Final judgement reserved for a few days to see what happens. Pete

Hi, seems good on my iMac, on Tapatalk now the Subforums are available as well.

Two queries though:

My profile says I cannot receive private messages, and

I cannot see the night Crawlers subforum, purely for my delectation, you understand!

Can these be fixed please?

Thanks.

Its seems by some inexplicable (or maybe not) reason, your account seems to be the only one affected.

Our tech gurus are looking into it.

Otherwise, loving the new burst of speed we're getting, has Thailand just upgraded its internet infrastructure?

Minor grumble but the image on the last page of the Caption Competition has disappeared and turned into a download link

I had some 'internal server error' incidents at 7am GMT in the UK that lasted for around half an hour but nothing since and it seems to be much quicker to load. Good job, people.

Felipesed, try the PM function now.

We've just tested the image upload function which works so it must be a problem with that specific image (notice a few others also so will reupload them).

Please can you post a screenshot of any error pages you see so we can send them to the new hosting company. With a database this large there will need to be some tweaking before it runs smoothly.
