My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Cameras are fancy but photography is in the eye of the beholder and kit really doesnt come into it - you need to be there and feel it.

Shot this today on a 5 year old phone ... at the railway station ... booking a ticket out ... half cut, as was the train rat ...

That's a great shot and a "life in Thailand" moment. Oh the people I've seen and the stories I could tell said the train station squirrel while nibbling on his grape. :D Pete

No, they're virtually silent. It is some kind of bird that makes that sound.

Possibly you're thinking of the koel, an asian cuckoo. In Thai is นกกาเหว่า (nok kawow) in Thai. Makes a sound that gives it it's Thai name.

sorry for derailing this thread with my search to identify the WACOW noise. It was neither of the above birds. So after a lot of googling I finally found it on youtube ... it's from a Tokay Gecko.

Thanks for all the effort folks!
