Although i use Astrill vpn and it works good so far, i would recommend you to get Expressvpn. It is a bit expensive but the best of all. Reason i subscribed for Astrill was i came across a good deal and made the purchase.

You're welcome, but credit where credit is due - it was Ginjaninja who recommended it first.

China is an absolute nightmare.....
Anyone got any recommendations for a good VPN that works in China? All the free ones I've tried don't work worth a damn. Heading back there in a week or so.

These sources indicate Witopia is a reliable option when dealing with the GFW, albeit slow:

Try looking out for Purevpn. I was going across a review page which listed it at the top for use in China.

I have downloaded Betternet but do not see how to use it!
When say I go into Pirate Bay what do I click either before or after clicking their web page to avoid detection?

I usually click before.

Be warned, Pirate Bay will continually give you warnings and try to sell it's own VPN. I assume a cookie will tell you that your old IP Address is still there, but I've checked, and it isn't.

OK, difficult, because I don't know how you're set up. I am using Chrome.

Click this symbol on the top right of your screen.
