For my 2 cents, I use Edge occasionally, and rank it below Chrome (which also has various annoyances and issues.)Big Boy wrote:Before I sell my soul to Chrome. Does anybody have any thoughts about MS Edge?
There's no ideal browser (horses for courses) but storage is cheap to keep several of them. I have the popular ones as well as a few alternatives listed below.
- Chrome users might want to check out Slimjet Browser (http://www.slimjet.com). Like Chrome, it uses the Chromium base-code (so that can use Chrome extensions) but with a better implementation and adding a some extras/features.
- The better known Opera browser (http://www.opera.com) provides a "turbo mode" and more interestingly, free VPN. Well, it's not quite VPN but close to that. The interface is less spartan than that of Chrome or Edge, and that aspect might be important for many users.
- Flashpeak SlimBrowser (http://www.flashpeak.com) has a traditional menu system, offers a lot of features, and it's way less bloated than the Mozilla family (Firefox, Pale Moon, SeaMonkey, K-meleon, etc.).
