Me have read this you schlauwieschlumpf. I am now in HH and nobody knows the new place- exactly like I expected it!!. Nobody in the hotel, no taxidriver an no TukTuk-man. Is there any wellknown place close to it (hotel, restaurant....)???

Go down the road next to the flyover towards Kao Takhiab, when the dual carriage way section ends, carry on straight and it's about 250-300 metres on the right - new single-storey building painted beige-brown.
We tried it a few weeks ago and enjoyed it very much.
Excellent service & food in a very pleasant furnished, new and clean restaurant.
Will certainly go again.
Whats about Papa John Restaurant. I wonder that his homepage papajohnhuahin still annonces that the restaurant is relocation. There are any new informations?

When it was in HH we went there for breakfast quite often. So once it opened we thought we would give it a try again. They don't serve breakfast anymore!
We have been there in August - a very nice and clean restaurant, bigger than in HH, steaks and duck and other food same good quality as before. A little far away from downtown HH. In two weeks we will try again. Anybody been there in last weeks?
Merry X-mas

schlauwieschlumpf - difficult to explain - a schlumpf is a funny little comic figure and a schlauwieschlumpf is somebody who has a answer to any question - even before he read and understood it. A word by word translation would be "clever like a dwarf" but i doesnt sound so nice....

We have been there this evening - got one of the last free tables. Scallops on the shell with onions and garlic - delicious! Just perfect the salad of pomeloes with prawn - it would be a sensation even in Paris. The well known half duck, flavoured with "six spices" and the best french fries in town justify the few kilometers from HH to Khao Takiap. Draft beer in best "eckkneipen*"-quality.
I finally sprung for a fillet steak last night at Papa John's after years of hearing friends say they have the best steaks in town and now I agree. It was the best steak I've had in Thailand period, and one of the best I've ever had anywhere... well worth the 600+ baht price (that's for the smallest (200g) fillet). It came with a choice of potato and some perfectly cooked vegetables. It also comes with the full range of choice of sauces like pepper, Bearnaise, red wine, etc., but after tasting the first bite of the tender juicy flavorful New Zealand steak, I thought it would be a sin to put any kind of sauce on it so the (excellent) red wine sauce went on our mashed potatoes. The missus tried Lobster thermador for the first time in her life at my urging after seeing it on the menu (just under 400 baht) and loved it. This place is a bit pricy but lives up to it's reputation for quality of food.
All in all it was one of the best meals we've had in recent memory.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
Gave this place a whirl and although it wasn't by any means the worst steak I've had in thailand it certainly wasn't the best. If anything the meat was lacking in flavor, I'd say watery over juicy.
The misses had a Tom Yam that was really good, generous serving of huge prawns in there.
Will give it another shot some time but not in a mad rush to return.
