new cafe soi 102

Post by blue05 »

went to a new cafe today on or just off soi 102. going away from the petchakasem road it is 1.5km from Bobbys Bar. just at a crossroads on the right hand side

Had the breakfast and it was top notch, heading back now for the Sunday Roast which was sold to me over breakfast, hoping it is as good as described

The cafe is called Hua Hin 99 Cafe, every main course is 99bt, they also had daily specials for 79bt and I was told there will be a different one every day

Would say it is Brit Style as all the usual meals are there, fish and chips, chille con carnie, mince and mash, spag bol, etc etc

well worth a visit, will update the Sunday Roast later as heading there now

had the Sunday Roast and it was a monster, took me 30 minutes to demolish it

Have to say have had Sunday Roast at all the usual suspects (around 8 different places) and this won hands down. Best pork I have had, when I suss out how to add photos I will

How are you getting around town? Not on your bicycle I suspect?

I think it's Robert Frost, Leaves compared to Flowers.

Sorry - thought this was the Poetry Competition thread.

If he keeps posting this could become quite a good game, not only do you have to guess the poet but you need to find the thread he's posted in, a sort of poetry treasure hunt akin to the Forrest Fenn gold hunt.

The good old British Chilli or Spag Boll.

Shame other countries can't invent as fabulous dishes as us Brits.

Cheers Blue, not to far from me so will check it out.

I went to Cafe 99 today to try the Sunday Lunch and I must say I wasn't disappointed, it was great!
Peppered pork, roast potatoes, mash potatoes, three veg, cauliflower, carrots & peas... with lots of gravy. Price 99 baht.
What a bargain in anybody's book. It is one of the best Sunday lunches, that I have had in Thailand and I have been here plus touring around since 2007.

I also had the fish and chips there last week. Once more really tasty, with a choice of french fries or home made chips...home made chips for me every time! It was 99 baht and 20 baht extra for the minted minted mushy peas.

The place is very clean and tidy, with very pleasant owners, who delight in taking good care of their customers
Cafe 99 on soi 102, I am sure will be getting a regular visit from me when I am in town.

Thanks paderborn

Have to agree with Paderborn 100%. Went there with my mother on Friday. I had mince and mash and my mother had fish and chips. She's a bit of a stickler for her fish and chips and Cafe 99 has just knocked her favourite fish and chips of the No. 1 spot.

Went back for Sunday roast today and it was a belter. Had to help my mum out as she couldn't finish it and I walked away having loosened my belt. Stuffed to the gills.

The owners are very nice and his wife is very amicable. She never stops smiling and speaks very good English.

Would recommend this to anyone. We'll certainly be back there. Well worth it.

Went there last night with a friend on the way back from Bangkok.
I ordered chili con carne, he had mince and spuds.
Good basic food served hot and cleanly in very clean surroundings. Saw one table of 4 or 5 all being served with fish & chips and it looked very good.
Service was quick and friendly.

Great value and I'd go there a lot more if I lived in HH.
Definitely recommended.
