I heard the owner was simply fed up of dealing with staff. may have been more to it. haven't seen a soul in there since it reopened. I really liked coco...shame to see it go.

There may well be substance to that - a number of times lets say he was a bit stern with them to them to the point where just the once I did say that was a bit harsh. Some staff did look terrified.

Prices were high, but the quality was excellent. So here is the question --Is there a big demand for high quality/high priced food. I suggest you go to the Soi 88 night mkt and see the multitude of expats happily eating their 100b dinners

But prices - again high compared to what ? A top quality burger for £6 and I once had some ribs that I will never forget for the same price. If you're comparing it to chicken feet broth washed down with Leo ok you have a point. But for what you got it was cheap.

I'm weary of people going to extroadinary lengths to save 10 baht on a beer - the stress will kill them anyway so they might as well live a little.

It's just a real shame that there was finally a place that wasn't there to cater for the Leo / chicken noodle brigade that you could relax in without any pretentious crap that usually comes with quality food and enjoy amazing food and quality beers/wine with a great sound system thrown in!!
