What I like about Indian restaurants is the quality of their vegetarian dishes.
I will be there tonight as it is AshWednesday, the first day of Lent and my sainted mother wouldcome back to haunt me if I ate meat today.
At this restaurant eating meatless is no real penance.

new favorite for me now, The Royal Indian. Its on the same soi as the police station just past the crossroads on the way to the beach

This is the closest I have ever been to a UK curry house, have eaten there 3 times in the last 5 days all different dishes and all fantastic

Will certainly be my regular for the foreseeable future

prics are about 20/30bt more than 80 but its paying town rents and the quality makes me happy to pay anyway

Whereabouts is that, at the crossroads with the Italian 'Cafe De Roberto' (name?) on the north west corner and the Japanese 'Haji' (name ?) on the south east corner ?

Thanks - That's quite handy for parking too, if it's not too busy down there.

Blue, I've been puzzling over such a large discount since you posted - it's quite large (chart on the right of the page translates to 323Baht - more than an average Thai daily wage) for a Thai meal. Could you put it into perspective please? How many people, number of dishes, undiscounted cost, etc?

Maybe he meant 10% which is a lot more understandable.

^ That's the way I read it as the $ sign is right next to the % sign on most keyboards.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

 You've obviously got over sized fingers like me

Thanks, I found the $10 discount quite a turn off. I was actually wondering what sort of mark up they had to start with. Sounds much more reasonable now :D

I found there prices very reasonabe, about 30bt more than 80 and mush higher quality, the discount came as a surprise , they just did it I guess because I had been there 3 times in 5 days

and mush higher quality
That's the clincher for me, I like my mush to be of a higher quality. :D
Seriously though, next time I'm in the area I'll be going there.
