Night Market

Post by migrant »

Where is the Hua Hin night market (or markets) and are they open every night?

As an intro try the smaller one-- its next door to San Paolo Hospital on PK road. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=26056&hilit=markets&start=23
Or for food the one on Soi 88 just over the railway tracks and turn left.

If you like markets at Thai prices, by far the largest in town is every Tuesday at Pae Mai.

The biggest and best IMHO is in Cha-Am every wednesday evening. Takes a few hours to walk round and if you get fed up with shopping plenty of beer/snack stalls.

As you get to the traffic lights, heading towards Bangkok, turn left - can't miss it.

Travelling from Hua Hin turn left at the traffic lights in the centre of Cha-Am. Go up the road inland about 200 yards. The market occupies virtually all the land between the daily fresh produce market and the railway station. It is always very busy and difficult to park if you get there much after 6pm. Most people park on the road to the beach and get motor cycle taxi to the market.
There is a row of shop houses that open bars on the left as you go towards the market. Good place to stop and enjoy a cold one while your partner wanders round the market. There is a really good German sausage and burger bar by the shophouses

Cheers thanks for that.
Other than the beach we have not explored Cha Am but are intending to rectify that when we come over in February
