Your favourite 5 medium price places to eat in Hua Hin

Post by properperson »

Like the title says - What are your 5 favorite medium price (i'm thinking of circa 150 - 225b for a main meal) places to eat in the Hua Hin area ??

some idea of location would also help.

There's quite a lot of contenders.

Firstly, it depends a lot on what kind of food, and what kind of environment you are looking for, but purely on budget:
1) Almost anything in the Food Plaza at the 88 railway crossing.
2) Almost anything at the railway crossing on 94 (both sides).
3) The Thai barbecue shack a couple of hundred meters up Pala-U on the right hand side.
4) The Thai places on the temple wall on Poolsuk Road - plenty of other restaurants there, but many would break your budget I think.
5) Yokkhok on Petchkasem between 94 and Market Village.

Personally I tend to stick to Thai and if you don't mind the 'Al Fresco' nature of it the 88 plaza is pretty good. There's several other restaurants close to it many of which are quite acceptable - I don't see too much point in listing names as such.

1 - Subway
2 - Burger King
3 - Pan Din Tong (which is no longer around)
4 - McDonalds
5 - 7-11

Probably not the answer you are hoping for that will guide you towards local eateries. Sorry about that.

Edit: Sorry, didn't realise there was a fairly small budget. At Burger King ya gonna be pushing it. Given an unlimited budget, I would still be eating at the same places... apart from 7-11.

:D Probably counts, given the extraordinarily wide remit!

I think you need to state what sort of cuisine. Thai, European, Scandinavian, Indian or just USA fast food crap

Way too many places to mention. If you are after Thai food then practically any and all Thai style restaurants will serve up a ton of good food for the sort of budget the OP has quoted. If setting is important to you then I would definitely recommend Mr. Burger 3 on the klong road where prices are very reasonable and setting is lovely as well.

I would also recommend Kor Sor Resort up Soi 6. Don't be put off by the stunning setting.......prices are a lot lower than one would expect.

Good luck and happy dining. :D
