best place to eat in soi 80
hi guys what's the best place to eat down soi 80 are the prices cheaper than down near the Hilton thanks
Re: best place to eat in soi 80
For variety, you're better going just that little bit further to Sois 88 and 94. You will only pay a fraction of the town centre prices.

Re: best place to eat in soi 80
There are two excellent places where I've eaten there: Angie's Bistro and Maya's Bistro. They're both near the top (railroad end) of the soi with Angie's being one block down on the corner and Maya's being a block off the soi on the little side street next to Angie's.den123 wrote:hi guys what's the best place to eat down soi 80 are the prices cheaper than down near the Hilton thanks
In particular, Angie's has British food, the liver and onions being my favorite dish there, and Maya's has some of the best German food in town.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

I'll echo Big Boy's comment you can eat for a third of the cost up soi 88 food court and have open air entertainment.

at the moment, and I believe for the rest of the month there isa CHANG BEER outdoor beer garden with entertainment at Mkt Village. The food is a little more expensive than Soi 88 but is still relatively cheap and some nice alternatives. The music is NOT nearly as deafening as at Soi 88.Chang beer 55b a glass 155 a litre.

I though Meya's Bistro had closed or at least changed hands.

Confirm Maya's Bistro changed hands. No German food served in new basic Thai restaurant. Owner of Maya's, Sue has some health issues which have forced her to stop. Saniji's at the end of the street will do you a good Indian and just around the corner next to a pharmacy, Na Na at ThaiTanic is a great cook.
Re: best place to eat in soi 80
Too bad, Mayas was an excellent German place. I thought I remembered reading, and even commenting on it's closure, but I saw it still on the Soi 80 map so I thought they re-opened. Did the new owner keep the name.

Re: best place to eat in soi 80
Further to my rather cynical contribution about soi 80 not being famous for it's food, Victoria is doing evening meals again after a long break. Excellent quality mainly English classics, Fish and Chips, pies, liver and bacon etc.
Re: best place to eat in soi 80
Agree with BB, Soi 94 has a vast range of dining options, some cheap, and some a little more expensive.

Re: Hua Hin Restaurant News
food [Mod Edit - name inserted to give post meaning] at Victoria is good but itsa dump. Order and pay and they will hand carry it to you in neighboring bars who seem happy to let you eat thee as long as you order a drink. I use Dragon Bar--now renamed Joe's Bar
