A large Leo cost in a shop about 57 Bhat. In bars difficult to find large beers.

In the Bintablock I agree, but most bars outside of there do sell large ones. The cheapest I've come across is 70 baht with the dearest at 110 baht.

The beers in bar come from the Cost of the atmosphere. Yes much cheaper in 7-11 but the bars make money on the beers mainly. I’ll check and post pricing tonite

I think most are 80 small and 120/130 large
Restaurants are oddly charging the same for the most part

If you're on a budget, those two food courts by Big C offer a reasonable night out, plenty of food choices, live music and a large Leo for 65bt.

A nice place, the concrete chairs are a bit uncomfortable but the have cushions if one ask.
Dainty European dishes from my favourite stall "Wanli", Belgian owner. Subdued live music - all in all highly recommended.

^^ Not so subdued in the original smaller food court - difficult to get more than 4 metres away from a loudspeaker. We gave up going there. The new larger one is much better, you can hear yourself talk. More choice of food as well.

I seem to remember that in 2004, a large Heineken was Baht 85.
That was in HUA Hin Bintabars. Doesn’t seem to have gone up much.
I've lost my mind and I am making no effort to find it.

Looks like it has over doubled then since you'll pay more than that for a small Leo now in those bars.

Oh well, that’s to be expected I suppose.
Haven’t been down Binta for a few years now. We seem to spend our time in Thailand either in Nakhon Sawon, or up in the far north, beer seems a lot cheaper there.
Still, in Hua Hin, most things are a lot more expensive, being a destination for the BKK set, may have a lot to do with higher prices.
I don’t drink every night, so the current prices don’t bother me at all, but I can understand it may, for those who frequent the bars most nights.

Wine is my tipple of choice, that’s gone up a lot, but now it’s much more available than it was back then and the quality is so much better.
