Those two sausages look good!
Re: The Baguette
IMHO the bread varieties at both Baguette and Love Bread don't taste that much different from each other. They look different and have different shapes and colors, but the flavor is pretty much the same; rather bland. It's as if they were made in a hurry without giving the dough time to "rest" and to develop the protein structure and complex flavors that make a good bread.

I always found the German-style Sauerteigbrot from The Baguette to be excellent - among the best I've tasted.
Re: The Baguette
This is kind of funny. That’s Love Bread on the right. On the left is a vacant townhouse with a big banner with notice of Baguette's new location on the highway. It’s been there ever since the split.

The Baguette in town has a sign that the new model is opening April 1st. It's next to the Toyota dealership.

It also depends on the quality of the flour.Ratsima wrote: ↑Fri Feb 23, 2018 9:09 am IMHO the bread varieties at both Baguette and Love Bread don't taste that much different from each other. The shop at Cha-Am is now on my black list. Called in on the way back to Bangkok on Tuesday morning , as I have done many times before. First problem was the scruffy boy serving behind the counter that could not even understand what I wanted while pointing at it, never mind what I was saying.
Second problem was I ordered a coffee along with a Quiche pie. The coffee arrived but after about 10 minutes no sign of the pie. Eventually had to get from the table and go and chase it up. NO apology, just a stupid grin. After I finished a call to the Hong Nam was required, and as the way to it passes by the rear of the counter there was one of the "staff" sitting on the floor playing with her phone!
This type of thing completely pisses me off. There must be at least 8 "staff" behind the counter, but it was obvious the owner was not one of them.

Re: The Baguette
This is a very common problem in Thailand. Service would be much better if they sacked half the workers and doubled the wages of the rest. Not forgetting staff training !!

Re: The Baguette
Half the staff-- wages big increase, but not doubled. End of the quarter bonus based on takings, only paid to those with 95% attendance.
Re: The Baguette
That could happen almost anywhere here. Meanwhile, the rest of Thailand goes into deep recession because half the population are no longer employed, and are looking for handouts. Crime rate goes up etc., etc.

Alternatively, just ban mobile phones in the work place. In fact, just ban them altogether, or at least ban all forms of social media.
