Been in Thailand a while now and today came across a new fruit - for me.
Size of an avarage grapefruit. Skin fairly thick and pink/ purple in colour. Flesh white with lots of edible small black seeds.
Was informed it was "geo mah gon".
My Thai being perfect, lol, I thought a horse with things coming out of its head might be a deer. No, it's a dragon. Hence, dragon fruit.
Apparantly, Thailand started to grow this some 4/5 years ago. Previously, it was imported from Vietnam.
Anyone else tried it? It's good.
