Had to leave our small hotel due to no electric ( therefore no water, air, etc) and check in at one of the big hotels

A whole row of trees were blown across power lines just before the U Turn at the Southern end of town.

In the above photo, workmen had already removed many of the trees (cut into small pieces onn the roadside).

The worst storm I have experienced in my time living in Thailand, the level in our fish pond rose by half a metre and our soi (just behind Pranburi hospital) was more akin to a river in spate. Other than a few trees down on the property no real damage to our house, thank goodness.

I know a guy whose rented house got buried under 2 huge metal poles (about 30 meters high ) that hold a mesh to protect near by houses from the golf balls. That house has cracks and holes all over it part of the roof is missing now and any rain will make a flood inside. The guy was lucky enough not to get killed cause the 1st pole fell at 6 AM and everyone at the house was asleep. And I was complaining about floating trash bins on Petchkasem road that blocked my way when i was literary sailing along it in my car :?

I didn't encounter any trash bins, but those big orange things they put in the middle of the roads to direct traffic were a bit of a pain. I almost hit the one near the Soi 88 crossing. I don't know how sturdy they are, but I guess they'd cause some damage. The U Turn near Market Village had floated a few yards North :?

Had to rough it at the Dusit Thani!!

They even were without electric for a while, but they have a backup (and I'm sure a backdoor connection) so only off a few hours
