Still doesn't make sense why a people smuggling ring would bomb bangkok and bring attention to themselves. That's one mighty personal grudge and alot of resources

The Thai police remind me of the prime minister Najib Razak of Mayalsia - just put out there the most outrageous unbelievable statement and expect your subjects and others to believe it.

3 Million baht reward for info leading to bomber's arrest

Post by HHTel »

I've just read that the 3 million baht which was offered as a reward leading to the arrest of the Bangkok bomber has been paid out. Who was it paid to? - The police investigation team!! Never heard of a reward being paid to someone doing the job they are paid to do.

Moral: As I suppose we already know, if you want the police to do their job, then you have to offer some monetary incentive otherwise they'll sit on their backsides with no reason to do anything!

Can you envisage a British cop being given a reward for arresting someone?

I doubt that any cop received the reward. We still wait to see if they have the right perpetrators but it looks like they were caught through use of their mobiles and I guess someone giving the address of their apartment/bomb factory. I also suspect that they received intelligence from other foreign agencies

I hope that on this occasion they have it right and we don't have more scapegoats being arrested simply to solve the case quickly and attempt to make the MIB look better than they are!

We can hope surely!

Here's your answer:

"Thai police award themselves $84K for arrest of bomb suspect"

http://www.mail.com/int/news/world/3785 ... ge-hero1-8

ONLY IN THAILAND!

If this turns out not to be the guy, they will, of course, give the money back. :rasta:
