Thai junta leader warns critics will be prosecuted
Thai junta leader warns critics will be prosecuted
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

I would have thought that an extreme right wing Monarchist junta is about as far from Communism as you can possibly get!JamesWest wrote:considering the source of these stories the authors will not be happy until Thailand is a communist state...

Re: Thai junta leader warns critics will be prosecuted
Remove the politics and you are still left with:
- A failing economy, falling exports
- Arrests for criticizing government plans/policies
- 72% of public spending for BKK (whee 17% of populations lives)
- rejection of draft constitution by drafting organization members to prolong coup
- 0.1 percent of Thais holding ~50% the country’s total wealth
Things are starting to snowball and gather momentum heading downhill. Time to act is now, changing the economic team was a good start.

the global economy is tanking. thailand is just along for the ride. the less debt the government has and the more isolated the Thai economy is from the outside world the better.
