10th Tourist Court opened in Hua Hin
Thailand's 10th tourist court is opened today in Hua Hin, a popular destination to both local and foreign tourists.
It is part of the government’s move to reassure travellers of their safety while visiting the country.
The specialised court will encourage negotiations between parties. Most of the cases are about consumer protection, so it is easier to reach a compromise. If it’s a serious issue, the case will be transferred to the regular court. There will be capable officials speaking foreign languages to help.
Tourism business operators in Hua Hin welcomed the move, citing this would facilitate all tourists and enhance the destination’s image.
The first tourist court was opened in Pattaya in September, 2013. Others include one in Phuket

I hope this one is not one of the judges:

Judge throws a tantrum, again
A judge was caught on camera losing her temper and berating people around her when she was issued a ticket for obstructive parking.

I kind of feel sorry for her, it must be a very stressful job. I really don't think it's a case of mental illness, but more of a case of job stress.Bristolian wrote:^^ another report says that she has a history of similar outbursts and is actually mentally ill. So that gives her the right to park where it suits HER, without regard to anybody else. Yeah, right.Name Taken wrote:I kind of feel sorry for her, it must be a very stressful job. It is exactly this type of "me first" bovine ordure that contributes to the high road toll. She should be taken to one of his lordships "attitude adjustment" camps, and not released until she can prove she can behave herself.

I wasn't talking about where she parked her vehicle, I was talking about her behavior.Nereus wrote:So that gives her the right to park where it suits HER, without regard to anybody else.
