Hua Hin - Suvarnabhumi Airport VIP bus crash

Post by Thistle »

Currently on route back from Bkk,have just seen one of the VIP airport buses obviously been in a crash going to Suvarnabhumi.Currently about to be towed away with an extremely badly damaged front.Location between Cha-am and Petchaburi, hopefully no-one seriously injured. Will be interesting to hear what occurred as the drivers seem normally to be fairly capable.

I'm hearing UNCONFIRMED REPORTS that the Suvarnabuhmi to Hua Hin bus has gone into a ditch 30 Km from Cha-Am. Reports of Farangs stood at roadside with luggage. No reports of injuries.

If anybody hears or knows more, please post.

I find it very strange that after actually seeing the bus being put onto a tow-wagon,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and it was certainly on the other carriage way towards Suvarnabhumi ,tht the post has become unclear????????????

We need news sources, an official report, or photos to label something as "news" in this section. As yet it has not been reported in the Thai or foreign media - only here on HHF.

Absolutely perfect,i did not label the report as unconfirmed, obviously pointless making a comment on something you see live.!!!!

No, sorry - I caused the confusion. I heard about the accident while I was out, and posted what I knew on the Airport Bus thread. My post, which had the bus going in the opposite direction, was merged with your post by another moderator. I was seeking information, which you had already posted.

[Edit] I completely missed your original post.

If an incident like this occurs, and you are unable to arrive on time for your flight,is there anything within the Bus Companies Insurance that might help?? [yes i know i am only joking, but surely something to consider]

Basically says that the bus was in a collision with an 18 wheeler at km marker 173 on Petchkasem. 27 passengers, no serious injuries. Northbound. There's a picture on the FB page. The bus is erroneously described as a foreign tourist bus, but that's a minor detail.

That's a frightening Facebook page.....
Big shame this has happened as I find the service excellent.
I recall on my previous bus trip that the lady on the bus did request passengers to buckle-up and the seatbelts are available and appear operational. Hopefully no one was hurt.

Isn't there a saying that the lighting dosn't strike twice the same place, but it's show again how dangerous the trafic is here in TH.
I hope everyone is safe and ok,we passed there today about 13.00 on our way to BK
