KANCHANABURI -- Wildlife authorities drafted veterinarians and staffers from across the country on Tuesday to help them continue relocating dozens of big cats from the Tiger Temple, including one that briefly escaped.

This is now posted on the Bangkok Post website. Also reported by Edwin Wiek, the Dutch guy that runs the refuge near Hua Hin, that they have found illegal Hornbills. The barstewards need putting in goal!

Be aware that there are photos of the dead cubs posted.

Really despicable. They don't appear to be stillbirths but killed as the article suggests. Tiger organs are tiger organs and cub organs may well demand a premium in China IMO. I'd really like them to beat a confession out of the bloody monk who thought up this apparent over population control method. :( Pete

I think these cubs would have been killed recently, maybe even within the last few days. It looks like they were trying to cover up the illegal breeding and selling of Tiger Cubs.

Once the authorities got in there and started to locate and remove the main tiger population they would have found all of the unregistered cubs. This would have been game over as far as proof of them trading in tigers, (alive, dead or in parts).

This last act of denial by killing and then trying to hide the cubs is the most despicable act of this whole sorry story. 40 tigers dead to hide their illegal, ill gotten gain.

A policeman's uniform commands respect.

A Buddhist monks robes is to be revered as he is a good man and devotes his life to mankind.

Thailand is not Buddhist, ask most Thais a question about Buddhism and they have no idea

I recall reading a thread on here a good while back about vets and someone mentioned the difficulty in getting vets to euthanize any animal, even those in suffering or beyond help, due to their Buddhist beliefs, well these so called pharking monks certainly don't seem to have any qualms, but then gangsters never do, they all need stringing up along with the assholes that supported them.

Breaking news from Bangkok Post is that authorities just stopped a truck trying to flee the temple with tiger skins and hundreds of amulets with tiger organs in them. Not on BP website yet but will be shortly......Pete
