Market manager shooter arrested by Hua Hin police

Hua Hin police have made a quick arrest in the slaying of the manager of the Dinosaur Market on Saturday evening.

Suwat (Geng) Pingmuang, 36, was shot in the face with a shotgun in full view of many people as he sat eating BBQ chicken at a stall outside the front of the market, reported Daily News.

The shooter was Prida (Tor) Natheeprakarn a local trader who sold spicy salad in the market.

Prida was taken on a reenactment of his crime by a large contingent of Hua Hin police yesterday.

Prida said that he had had arguments with Suwat and they had previously had a fist fight over a disagreement. He decided to buy a Thai made shotgun and brought it with him to the market on Saturday evening. He saw Suwat eating at a chicken stall and shot him in the
mouth. No words were exchanged.

Many people were watching in horror.

He then jumped on his white Honda Zoomer and drove off in the direction of the Cha-Am Pranburi bypass where he got on a public minivan. He went to Pathum Thani where he hid at a relative’s house before police came to arrest him.

Quite right too. This was obviously a well-planned crime posing a difficult challenge for investigators.

I'm guessing the cleverly thought out reenactment of the shooting must have brought out a valuable witness!

The shooter's daughter (9 years old) is in the same class as my one daughter. When I fetched my girls from school yesterday the little girl was still clearly very upset. Obviously, she is too young to fully understand, so her tears were/are mostly caused by the thought that the police have taken her Dad away, probably for a very long time.

Anyway, congrats to the Hua-Hin police for getting the shooter as quickly as they did.

What is to congratulate. A big joke. The shooter was a seller at that market, known by everybody. Easy to identify and name. What had to be investigated ??? Stupid congratulation to HH police.

This is one of the most disturbing things that happens surprisingly regularly in Thailand. When Thais get into conflict and lose face they can decide that the best thing to do is kill.
All farangs who live here and visit here need to be aware of this and never get into conflict with Thai people, no matter what. Thai people are normally very friendly but they do react differently to these situations.

This idiot killed in front or everybody, plenty of witnesses, he escaped on a motobike and then took a minivan for Pathum Thani, hide in the house of a relative. Easy to trace. A real Thai brain.
Now guess what would it be other way round. The manager, a poo yai, shoot a seller. He is smart and run away. Would he be arrested so quickly by the HH police ??????? 55555555
