The tragic incident occured at the single-storey house of Jamnian Budda, the 39-year-old grandmother, in Ban Nong Sa-nguan village of tambon Tha Toom about 10.30am.

Pol Capt Jakrapol Jaichuam of Si Maha Phot station, said Ms Jamnian saw her little grandchild, Thidarat Sang-ondee, playing with a tape-wrapped object she found in an empty guestroom. She was trying to take off the adhesive tape.

The grandmother tried to take the object from the girl, but it fell to the floor and exploded.

So why would anybody have a home made bomb in their house for anything other than terror purposes? Somebody has some serious questions to answer.

"The unused bedroom had previously belonged to Thidarat's 19-year-old uncle, Nakharin Budda, but he had moved out when he got married. Pol Lt Thewan said the bomb might belong to Mr Nakharin's friend,... "

So it's the uncle or his friend needs to have answers.

It's odd the way it's reported, like it's nothing out of the ordinary. Like : "Oh! Uncle's friend must have forgotten to take his shoes/ coat/laptop/bomb (pick one)".
