5 double-track rail projects halted for ‘lack of transparency’

The five projects are the 132-kilometre Map Kabao-Jira Junction section (Bt29.45 billion); the 116-km Lop Buri-Pak Nam Pho section (Bt23.9 billion); the 169-km Nakhon Pathom-Hua Hin section (Bt19.27 billion); the 84-km Hua Hin-Prachuap Khiri Khan (Bt9.99 billion); and the 167-km Pachuap Khiri Khan-Chumphon section (Bt16.5 billion).

^ It's never going to stop until they develop an anti-thieving vaccine for these people. Pete

I suspect that these projects will quickly develop into the "nose in the trough" projects we have seen time and time again over the years here.

Same crap different year. 😈
I've lost my mind and I am making no effort to find it.

It's funny. I think they've actually passed a law giving the death penalty for corruption. I don't know what level or amount but it must be high. They would get better results and fear factor for sure if it was castration instead, and anti-DP countries such as Australia and the EU would probably not object to that. "No after life for you yet mate, we're turning you into a eunuch first for the remainder of your time here..." Pete

All scrapped for the time being:

"The five project are the 19-billion-baht Nakhon Pathom-Hua Hin section, the 23-billion-baht Lop Buri-Pak Nam Pho section, the 28-billion-bhat Map Kabao-Thanon Chira Junction section, the 9.8-billion-baht Hua Hin-Prachuap Khiri Khan section and the 16-billion-baht Phrachuap Khiri Khan-Chumphon section."....
